We are really excited to announce the fourth network event in the WMMHIN 2016/17 programme will be held in partnership with Public Health England.
Showcasing fantastic speakers, an exciting agenda and a beautiful venue we think this will be our most popular event to date, so please book soon to avoid disappointment.

This network event will address the prevention of mental ill-health and distress.
Prevention is a key priority for NHS England and featured heavily in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health which states that one of the eight principles to underpin reform is that prevention and early intervention must be prioritised.
This WMMHIN event aims to prompt discussion and actions around the topic of prevention of severe and enduring mental illness, emerging themes from evidence base as well as current and potential pertinent innovations.

We are pleased to announce that we have four excellent speakers confirmed;

Dr Geraldine Strathdee O.B.E. MRPsych. Past National Clinical Director Mental Health, Consultant Psychiatrist,  Mental Health Intelligence Network, Consultant Psychiatrist, Visiting Professor, Integrated Mental Health Programme,

Professor Max Birchwood, Professor of Youth Mental Health, Warwick Medical School
Dr Paul Patterson, Digital Engagement & Public Health Lead for Forward Thinking Birmingham

Dr Lola Abudu, Deputy Director for Health and Wellbeing at PHE West Midlands

Following on from the presentations attendees will be invited to participate in interactive workshops on one of a number of the prevention-themed topics. There will also be a further opportunity for networking and refreshments at the end of the event.

Woodland Grange is in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire set in 16 acres of beautiful grounds, located at the heart of the midlands motorway and rail network.

Food and Drink

A light finger buffet will be served at the start of the event giving attendees a chance for lunch and networking during registration.  Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
