"I had an awesome time Mc'ing at the #IPEIronChef again this year! Wow, the caliber of chefs was amazing. Great to see the teams BX Creek Bar and GrillGumtree Catering,

Halcyon Hot Springs, and Craft Corner Kitchen really bring it! Wow, each year I'm so inspired by what these chefs create from all our locally produced food.

I'm blown away by what our food producing community shares with the #IPEIronChef. Please like and share these incredible producers (from my facebook page), chefs and restaurants pages and more importantly, buy from your farmers and small scale producers. It feels darn good and tastes even better.

To our tireless captain Andrea Gunner of Rosebank Farms: You never cease to amaze me ... Wonderful work, once again. You herd 'cats' like a pro and I just love how you always do it calmly and with a smile.

As always, it was a true pleasure to catch up with Allison M Markin and Cindy Masters. You both do the work, I seriously could not. Judging all those dishes? Wow... To Anna Gorman of Okanagan Rawsome, so great to connect!

Len Marriott of Terroir Cheese at the Iron Chef tent 

Terroir Cheese was at the 2016 Armstrong Interior Provincial Exhibition talking about and handing out cheese samples from his 5 kinds of artisanal cheese.

Shanda from Rancho Vignola was demonstrating how to prepare delicious dishes using fresh crop dried fruit and nuts. Rancho Vignola's fresh crop for 2016 is in, here is their product list 

Afke Zonderland of Okanagan Rawsome was at the 2016 Iron Chef tent demonstrating her raw and gluten-free products. Here is an excerpt of her blog post:

"The Iron Chef competition has been a popular event at the IPE for about 6 years.  We have a love affair with food and it’s only natural that we want to see what the professional and amateur chefs will cook up after meandering through the isles where the ribbons are handed out to top local gardeners.  I have had the pleasure of judging at some of the Iron Chefs competitions and enjoyed presenting a few workshops in previous years. Meet Rosebank Farms' two new farm dogs, both border collie x shepherd x black lab cross. They are litter mates and are 5 1/2 months old. Winnie is the blue-eyed female with shepherd colouring and Charlie is the black lab male.

Training takes months to teach them to be properly vigilant in protecting the chickens and turkeys and these dogs are both well on their way. Our daughter, Kayla has taken the primary training responsibility and is doing a really great job with both dogs.

Thanksgiving weekend (Oct. 8-10), is just around the corner  

and our turkeys are out on the range (left) and are growing fast! 

We've got chickens ready to go. This year's chicks (below) were fed on 2% cranberry pomace from the Organic Institute of Canada research trial. Read more at:

We are proud to deliver pre-sold fresh, frozen and smoked chickens and turkeys throughout the North Okanagan & Shuswap. Our products can also be picked up at the farm. Prices are on a per lb. basis and birds are available whole in sizes from 4–8 lbs.

We also sell chicken livers and hearts by request, cut-up chickens in batches of 5 birds or by the piece. Smoked chicken is available by breast, leg or whole. Ground chicken is available in 1 lb. packages, chicken smokies and Sicilian chicken sausages are available in packages of 4.
Chickens: Available Wednesdays starting May 11th and ending Wednesday, October 26th.

Turkeys: Fresh turkeys are available the weekend before Thanksgiving and frozen turkeys are available between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
