An update on what's going with your local IMBA chapter
Pumpity Pump Track!
As most of you know the City of Corvallis has approved the building of a pump track, and now we just have to get the funding together to pay for it.  The track, which made a debut at spring roll, will be pre-built and assembled on site.  With the ability to be relocated and expanded it allows us the greatest flexibility to serve our community.  For all you members who don't have the time or the strong backs to build trail, this is your chance to give back to your MTB community.  Donations are going to be key to making this a reality here in Corvallis.
New Trails at Alsea!
Alsea Falls trails are continuing to grow in popularity, and with the continued support from builders and donations, it will become an even larger trail network.  Several new trails are open to the public. Whistle Punk and Sexy Tree were added above the current trail network and offer new technical challenges. At the lower end of the network there are now several smaller micro loops that have family-friendly climbs. And, of course we've been fine-tuning and maintaining existing trails.
It's No Secret!
OSU College of Forestry and Team Dirt are getting together!  We are currently in the process of finalizing the official agreement to enable Team Dirt to build an OSU sanctioned trail. The trail will be near McCulloch Peak and will be named "No Secret." Some progress has already been made on the trail. Ground was broken during an IMBA trail care crew build day. Trail crew participants learned the principles of sustainable trail design and put them into action. Smaller build days have focused on corridor clearing and initial tread. Keep an eye out for future build days when the contract is finalized!  We hope to use this project to build stronger relations between the OSU Forestry managers and the local MTB community.
Movie Night
The Builder movie night was such a great success due to all who came out.  All the support from our local Mountain Biker community was great to see, and proves that we are up to something good! Through your support we were able to raise over $5000, which will give our local mountain bikers more places to ride!  The organizers of the movie night were hoping to have 250-300 but instead we saw an estimate of 425 people.  Sorry we ran out of beer.  Thank you to all the donors of the raffle prizes!
Build it! Ride it!
Thank you for all your donations to the Build It Ride It campaign!  We raised over $40,000 of our $60,000 goal. We now have the means to buy trail-building equipment that will allow us to build more trails with fewer sore backs, and more time to ride.
