GLACIER TAX PREP SERVICE FOR NONRESIDENT ALIENS WHO RECEIVED INCOME FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND IN 2016
Nonresident aliens who received income from the University of Maryland in 2016 have free access to Glacier Tax Prep, provided by the Graduate School. (This software program prepares federal tax forms, but not state tax forms. Most students must file both federal and state tax forms.)

To access Glacier Tax Prep:
1. Click this link: http://apps.gradschool.umd.edu/intltax/
2. When prompted, enter your directory ID and password.
3. Follow instructions on Glacier Tax Prep website.

Users of Glacier Tax Prep with Form(s) 1042-S:
Your Form(s) 1042-S may show Federal tax withheld in Box 7a, or Total withholding credit in Box 10. You should enter that amount from your Form(s) 1042-S in Box 7a in GTP, which does not allow data entry in Box 10.
