Being a Woman Who Loves Men and Hates War

Monday, September 12, 2016

7:00-8:30 pm

Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building
12 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146

Israeli multidisciplinary feminist artist Shira Richter visually tells how love for a man taught her about the mysterious disappearance of a woman's secret and forgotten power, and how it connects to big picture economics and politics. This is a visual lecture with lots of artistic images, a story, a context, interesting facts from different disciplines and possibly some humor!

Do We Value Our Values?

Tuesday, September 13, 2016

11:30 am-1:00 pm

Jewish Federation of St. Louis Kopolow Building
12 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146

Through visual storytelling, Shira draws connections between the personal "little" story of becoming a mother/parent and the “bigger” story of global economics. This is a perspective of an enthusiastic and idealistic feminist artist who realizes we mean good, but tend to trip on the gap between word and actions.

Brown bag lunches welcome. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
Dr. Michael Berger
