Donuts with Dads and Dudes
Our Donuts with Dads and Dudes celebration is scheduled for Thursday, December 6th and Friday, December 7th from 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. We’re inviting all of our dads to come out and enjoy a donut and some coffee with the children. We would like for those with last names from A-M to come on Thursday and N-Z on Friday. If you can't attend on your scheduled day, please come on the alternate day. If dad is unable to attend this event, grandfathers, uncles and godfathers etc. are welcome! Of course, our Dudes will be there to help. Please click here to volunteer!
Picture books are an important part of learning to read. They help children learn language, engage curiosity, develop critical thinking and more. Did you know that picture books are not just for younger children? Students of all ages can benefit from picture books!
Check out https://tinyurl.com/picbooknovfor a guide to picture books. Please consider volunteering in the library. Any time you can spend helping our students is valuable.

On the morning of November 15th, thanks to PTA funds and a grant from the United Arts Council,Project Ole will present the art of flamenco dance and music to all grade levels. During Project Ole students are introduced to the rhythms and emotions of flamenco, its origins in Southern Spain, and its multicultural influences: Andalusian, Gypsy, North African, Arabic and Judaic and Latin American. The artists demonstrate the important elements of flamenco including: castañuelas (castanets), guitarra (guitar), cante (voice), and zapateado (footwork), and share dances and songs spanning a range of emotions from joy to sorrow, anger to exuberance. Research shows that when exposed to the arts, not only do student test scores improve but their imaginations are ignited and new possibilities are open to them. Through your support and that of the Artist in Schools program, we are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to our students.
Do you enjoy art, music, or dance or have an interest in writing, producing films, or taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme is “Heroes Around Me.” Provide your own unique interpretation of the theme through art, photography, music, dance, writing, or film! Entries are due on November 16 to the front office. Click here to view complete rules and access student entry forms.
