Time to start collecting Box Tops for our Fall Flash Drive!

This is the first box tops collection of the school year and a one-day opportunity to send in all your NON-EXPIRED box tops on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.  The class in each grade level that collects the most Box Tops wins a COOKIE PARTY.

It’s easy to participate in this Flash Drive!  Cut out NON-EXPIRED Box Tops on the dotted line and place them in a Ziploc bag labeled with your teacher’s name.  Ask family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to help out by saving box tops add to your collection.   We’ll announce the winning classes for each grade in our newsletter to recognize those classes that help Apex Elementary earn free money.

Contributions made to Box Tops via the Box Tops App will not count toward this Flash Drive but we encourage Apex Families to install the app and start helping Apex earn Box Tops and maximize bonus box top opportunities that are promoted in the app.  Those contributions made through the App still count towards Apex Elementary’s Annual Box Tops goal of $1,000

Thank you for all your help in make this flash drive a great success and bringing in all you can on 10/08/2019!

October is bullying prevention month.

Bullying is a repeated, intentional, hurtful act that involves an imbalance of power. Some examples of bullying behavior are name calling, inflicting physical pain, exclusion, public humiliation, hurtful pranks or defacing one's property. Apex Elementary is committed to preventing bullying behavior by helping students and staff RECOGNIZE, REFUSE and REPORT bullying and building positive relationships. Apex Elementary School is a place where all people should feel safe and loved!

Support our Bully Prevention month efforts by:

-Wearing blue on Monday, October 7 + sharing pics on social media @apexescougars with #blueup
-Following @apexescounselor for resources all month on how to recognize and prevent bullying
-Get your children excited about Mix It Up at lunch at school on Tuesday, October 22 (more info to come)
-Wear orange on Wednesday, October 23 to show support of inclusion of ALL students
