LEANDRO DOCUMENTARY
WRAL aired a new documentary about the Leandro case, called "Leandro: The Case for a Sound Basic Education." The documentary will be rebroadcast on WRAZ FOX 50 on Saturday, March 19, at 1 p.m.
The documentary is also available for on-demand viewing on wraldocumentary.com,Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TV and YouTube beginning Wednesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m.

The future of the Leandro case now rests with the NC Supreme Court. In 2022 the court will decide whether NC Superior Court Judge Lee has the authority to order the legislature to allocate funds to meet a constitutional requirement (i.e. Leandro funding). STATE EDUCATION PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
NC Superintendent Truitt announced the formation of a parent advisory committee on education. Unfortunately, only 1/3 of the seats are guaranteed to go to representatives of traditional public schools. Applications are being accepted until March 31. Apply and have your voice heard!

SUNSHINE CART NEEDS SODAS!
The Sunshine Cart is a little trolley of snacks, drinks, and goodies that is delivered to the teachers once a month or more to spread a little sunshine! The cart is low on cans of soda. Donations can be dropped off at the main office, or you can order via our Amazon Sunshine Cart list and it will be delivered to the school!
¡El Sunshine Cart es un carrito pequeño de refrigerios, bebidas y golosinas que se entrega a los maestros una vez al mes o más para esparcir un poco de sol! El carrito tiene pocas latas de refresco. Thank you to everyone who has donated prizes to the Gotcha program, which rewards students who were "caught" showing great behavior! Each week, the school awards Gotcha prizes to six students and their whole classes, so the need for prizes is ongoing! Please consider sending something from our Amazon list if you can!
