Circ MedTech Ltd. - manufacturer of the PrePex™ device – was honored to receive an invitation to exhibit in the Innovation Marketplace held during the 2016 High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS, 8-10 June, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
The UNInnovation Marketplace brought together a range of innovators who are currently working in the areas of healthcare and HIV. While approximately 10 innovators presented their innovations, the Marketplace was available to city leaders, Health Ministries and Implementers enabling them to connect and explore how the various technologies could help achieve Fast-Track Targets towards ending AIDS, in the context of their respective fields. The event — that included a number of mini-panels comprising city leaders, Health Ministers, innovators and Implementers — provided an opportunity to discuss innovations and new approaches and partnerships for ending the AIDS epidemic.

The 2016 High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS focused on the importance of accelerating the response to HIV over the next 5 years — and of setting the world on course to end the AIDS epidemic by the year 2030, as part of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. United Nations Member States adopted a Political Declaration on Ending AIDS to scale-up the pace of progress and reach a set of time-bound targets.
Participants in this UN Meeting included Mogens Lykketoft (President of the General Assembly), Ban Ki-moon (United Nations Secretary-General), Heads of State and Government — together with ministers, senior officials, representatives of international organizations, stakeholders, members of the private and civil sectors — as well as people who have contracted the HIV virus.
PrePex will be exhibiting at the
AIDS 2016 Conference, 18-22 July,
in Durban South Africa.
We look forward to seeing you there!
