We are proud to announce that PrePex has reached an important milestone;
As of July 2016, 200,000 PrePex Procedures have been conducted
across 12 countries in Africa and Asia!
This could not have been achieved without the support of government officials, funders, researchers, providers, trainers, community leaders, advocates, mobilizers
and indeed, the men themselves –
all of whom believed in the ability of the innovative PrePex device to enable a safe and cost-effective non-surgical male circumcision procedure!
Record Number of Attendees at the MMC Devices Dinner Session!
In South Africa, the Center for Health and Prevention Studies (CHAPS) - together with the AURUM Institute - sponsored and facilitated a Dinner Session on PrePex Programs. This successful event was attended by 110 guests from 16 different countries around the world.
The Session was held in conjunction with the AIDS 2016 Conference and took place on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at the Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani Hotel in Durban, South Africa. The goal of the Session was to stimulate a useful exchange of ideas and information with researchers, government officials, NGOs and stakeholders implementing PrePex VMMC (Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision) Programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and elsewhere. A summary of the event is expected to be distributed soon by the organizers.
