January-February 2021 UPDATE
Giving Tuesday helps fund 57 Virtual Field Trip Xperiences!
We’re delighted to announce that 57 more Virtual Field Trip Xperiences will be granted to San Diego K-12 school teachers and their students with help from our passionate community to bring the arts and science venues to the classroom and distance learning. The Giving Tuesday campaign was helped with a $10,000 matching grant in memory of Rana Elizabeth Rives and Betty Rives Mckeehan, both wonderful teachers and the grandmother and mother of Mrs. Laura Peña, also a retired teacher from the Encinitas Union School District. MANY, MANY THANKS to these wonderful teachers!
Nothing would make these ladies happier than for all you teachers to apply today for your Virtual Field Trip Xperience. Help provide more ABX grants by donating today.

K-6 Grade Students Take a Virtual Ride on a Space Ship
Ready for launch? Learning Choice Academy Students immersed themselves in the history of human spaceflight through the Museum’s newest exhibit, SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure. Students recreated historic space experiments and were challenged to engineer a landing system to protect cargo being sent to the moon, using materials from around their houses. “San Diego Air and Space educators did a great job. Our students were fully engaged and participating with the engineering challenges and Q & A.” Ms. Olmeda, K-6, The Learning Choice Academy.
