Embrace it. Spread it. Live it.

Hi Friend,

The air is clear and the forest begins its autumn transformation. It's just like heaven. Breathe deep!

Like the squirrels, the fall's crisp briskness sends us scurrying through the ever-shortening days to prepare for the colder months ahead. With the furbearer trapping season starting on October 1st, the WU team is running. We know everything we do, each day, will save a life or prevent suffering.

On September 15th, Dave Pauli (HSUS) will be back to teach trap-release techniques. Last year we had to cancel our workshops due to COVID. WU is also working on two new projects, one that will highlight and document the critical role one of our wild neighbors plays within our ecosystem. Another aimed at promoting coexistence and helping landowners implement non-lethal methods for managing and living with wildlife. We hope to unveil these projects in their entirety soon. Stay tuned as we work to promote coexistence and encourage each other to support the wildlife that support us.

While it will soon be furbearer trapping season, it is also the time of the year when your donation's impact is amplified by the Community Foundation's Old Bill's Fun Run. The 2021 Old Bill's giving season marks the 25th year of this incredible event with a matching fund doubled by Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill in honor of the anniversary. There is much to celebrate, but also so very much to do.

As always, we are grateful for your support: past, present and future,

The Old Bill's 2021 matching opportunity extends through 5 p.m. on September 17th. Please consider giving to Wyoming Untrapped through Old Bill's 2021.

Engagement Through Film

Our Engagement Through Film project includes five short films
highlighting the critical ecological role of animals at high risk of trapping.

We extend our endless gratitude to Lush Cosmetics and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for underwriting the creation of these beautiful short films.
“So, let us move forward with faith in ourselves, in our intelligence, in our indomitable spirit. Let us develop respect for all living things. Let us try to replace violence and intolerance with understanding and compassion. And love.”
