Good afternoon and best wishes for the festive season.
2019 has been incredibly busy and I'm looking forward to having a chance to recharge the batteries over the break.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to interact with me during the year. If you've needed help with issues or getting your voice heard, if you've helped me gain more insight into the challenges of your business and industry, or if you've wanted to explain your perspective on the issues of the day; it's all been much appreciated.
Planning is well underway for a big 2020, with lots of events, policy discussions and visits around the electorate and the country. I look forward to catching up with you during the year.
My offices are closed from today and will reopen in New Plymouth on January the 13th and in Wellington January 21st.
All the very best for a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
Message from Simon Bridges
In 2017, The Labour Party campaigned on a long list of promises, (read them here).
Despite being handed a once in a generation chance to deliver on those promises, with billions of additional funds left for them by the previous government, it hasn’t delivered. In fact, things are getting worse.
The number of people on the dole is up by more than 22,000, our cost of living is through the roof, business confidence through the floor, and KiwiBuild is the largest public policy failure this country has ever seen.
New Zealanders have a right to feel let down. National is working hard in Opposition to turn it around in 2020. If you would like to stay updated on our progress, please enter your details here.
With your help we can secure a better future for New Zealand.
