Vision Prayer

O God, with all our hearts we long to be:

a movement of churches
transformed by Christ,
transforming Canada and the world.

By your grace and for your glory:

  • Renew and empower us through a fresh encounter with yourself
  • Release us to be strategic in service, kingdom-connected in practice, passionate in pursuit of your mission and mercy

Use us to fulfill your purpose for Canada and the world.

The Noisy Offering

Sunday, December 11th TOTAL:  To be announced
Please pray for the ministries that these funds will help support.  Pray for Denise Dube and the lives of the girls and women that her ministry is touching.
Next Noisy Offering: Sunday, January 8th

THE PARVEZ FAMILY UPDATE:  It is incredible to think that the Parvez family have been here in St. Catharines for over a year now.  We are so thankful for each of them.  We give thanks to God that William has found full-time employment.  He is currently on a probation period and on April 1st will receive full-time benefits.  PRAISE THE LORD!

Please continue to pray and consider how you might give financially.  The Westburne Alliance Church is official sponsor of this family.  You can give through your offering envelopes by writing 'Refugee Sponsorship' on the line marked 'SPECIAL'. The Board of Elders will be monitoring our sponsorship in these next  6 months to the point where the Parvez family become financially independent.  Thank you for the love that you have extended to them!

Our Adult Bible Class has resumed and is meeting in the church library at 9:30 a.m.  Kyle Moate is leading the study on the book of Colossians.  Get yourself a coffee in the foyer and join together for a study of the Apostle Paul's letter to the church at Colossae and discover the timeless truths that are relevant for the Church and all believers today!

RightNow Media is an online resource for churches to equip, train and inspire people to live out their faith.  It has programs available for all ages.  You can view these programs on your computer, electronic tablets and your smartphones.  Here is something else you need to know:   IT IS TOTALLY FREE TO YOU!!!!

To give rightness Media a try, send an email to and ask for an invitation.

The Elders have chosen a project this year with which to bless those in need in our immediate community.  We have set a goal of assembling 10 Christmas food hampers.
You may choose to:
1.  Assemble a complete food hamper ,
2.  provide some of the requested contents to help make up a hamper,
3.  Provide a $50 gift card to purchase the needed food for a hamper or
4. Make a gift through your church offering envelopes.  Just mark the special line on your offering envelope with the words "Benevolent-Christmas".

Here are the items that are needed to make up one hamper:  box of cereal, bag of sugar, cake mix bottle of cheese whiz, box of crackers, box of teabags, can of apple juice, box of stuffing, package of cookies, can of cranberry sauce, a bag of christmas candy...2 packets of pasta, 2 cans of corn, 2 cans of tuna, 2 pounds of onions, 2 pounds of carrots, 2 cans of pasta sauce, 2 cans of peas, 3 cans of soup and 10 pounds of potatoes.

Here are the items to complete the hamper sheet in the church foyer:
6 boxes/packets of pasta
12 cans of corn
7 cans of tuna
6 cans of soup
6 cans/jars of pasta sauce
5 cans of cranberry sauce
3 cans of apple juice
7 boxes of stuffing
5 boxes of crackers
6 bottles of cheese whiz

You can reply to this email if you want to commit to giving certain items and we will mark the donation on our master sheet in the church foyer.  All items except the fresh produce can be dropped off at the church anytime right up until Sunday, December 18th (that date has been changed from the date that was in the church bulletin).  The Christmas Hampers will be delivered the week before Christmas.

Out of all that God has given to us, let's bless several people and families in our community!
Closing Words:

Chances are if you have been on the internet, you have probably seen this video pop during this Christmas season.  We showed this video at last year's Christmas Eve.  Many people ended up sharing this video with family and friends.  It appeals to all ages and tells the Christmas story.

Please pray for the ministry throughout the Christmas season that there will be many people who will hear the Christ story.  Please pray for friends and family who will be invited to attend our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services.

Have a great week!
Pastor Moe
