The Week Ahead at Westburne…
Take a few minutes to check out our church website and see what is happening this week at Westburne and in the days ahead.

Children's Ministries
Would you be willing to serve as a worker in our Children’s Church ministries?  If you are interested, please see Jen J.  Thank you!

On Sunday, February 15th Rev. Brian Thom will be speaking in our morning service.  Brian is currently serving as the interim district superintendent for the Central Canadian District .  Please pray for Brian as he shares from God's Word.  The Elders are reminded that we will be meeting for lunch with Brian in the Campbell Fellowship Hall following the service.

Please be in prayer for the nominating committee of the Central Canadian District as they are presently working through the interview process of potential candidates for the election of a new district superintendent.  The election will take place at our district conference that will be hosted by the Glengate Alliance Church in Niagara Falls in May.

Men’s Breakfast
Next breakfast will Saturday, February 21st at 8:30 a.m.  Our guest speaker is Todd Eliot who will be sharing some of the exciting things that God is doing through the GIDEONS Ministries.
Plan now to attend and invite a friend to come with you!  Please see the sign up sheet in the foyer!

Young Adults' Bible Study
All young adult/college and career people are invited to join us this coming Sunday for a time of bible study during the Family Bible Hour time.  The study will take place in the lower hall.  Don will be teaching the class.  Hope to see you at 9:30 a.m.

Beginning on Sunday, January 11th, Donald C. will be starting a 12 week class on BELIEVING GOD.  Here is a little description of the class:  "While Christians may express trust in God's words, they refuse in numerous ways, to stake their lives on what He says.  This teaching series challenges Christians to take a second glance at twelve of the most significant promises in Scripture.  We will methodically unpack each divine pledge and invite every Christian with a teachable heart to discover anew the grandeur of what God has committed to do for His people and to live in the joy of God's promises".  For more information, please see Donald C.

Sunday Morning Children's Ministries  Please be in prayer for Jon W. as he faithfully teaches our children during the family bible hour.  Please also pray for Jennifer J. and all her volunteers who faithfully teach our children in Children's Church.

OUR HOPE 2015!
'HOPE'...Don't Let Go!"

ALPHA...coming soon to Westburne!  If you would like some more information on the ALPHA program, check out their website:

The testimony of the believer is such a powerful tool of encouragement in the life of the church.
I like to think of a testimony of a follower of Jesus in this way--it's when His story becomes your story and becomes our story.

Do you have a word of testimony that you would like to share?  A word of hope that will be a blessing to others.
Please talk to me!  Thank you!

ANNUAL MEETING ...Sunday, February 22, 2015

Our annual meeting will take place following our morning service.  Immediately following the service, we will have our 'Monthly Soup Lunch' together.  All members of the Westburne Alliance Church are strongly encouraged to be present for this meeting.

If you are not a member and are wondering how a person becomes a member of the Westburne Alliance Church, please talk with Pastor Moe or Pastor Dan.

All annual reports need to be submitted immediately to the church office.  Thank you!

If you would like to provide some soup for the lunch, please speak with Judy S.  Thank you!

Closing Words:

I want to thank everyone who were involved in the Dinner and Movie event that took place on Friday, February 6th.
For those who helped set up, THANK YOU!
For those who helped clean up, THANK YOU!
For those who helped serve the food, THANK YOU!
For those who prayed, THANK YOU!
For those who invited and brought people, THANK YOU!
For those who invited people but they did not attend, THANK YOU!
Now let us hit the 'repeat' button and get ready to do it again!
This was the first of many events and activities that we are trusting God for throughout this year and that's why we have called it OUR HOPE 2015!

Have a great week!
