Free evening talks on Positive Parenting run this week in dlr LexIcon on Mon-Thurs at 6.30pm-7.45pm. We kick off tonight with family nutrition, Tuesday covers online safety for your child and teenager, on Wednesday we host an exciting panel discussion on raising children in the digital age, with journalist Jennifer O'Connell chairing the panel of Sarah Webb, dlr Writer in Residence, Stella O'Malley, psychotherapist, Cliona Curley programme director of CyberSafeIreland and Vita Coleman, dlr LexIcon library staff. Not to be missed! Thursday will cover communications with your children with Dr. Mary O'Kane. Tell all the parents you know.

Come along to get expert advice and information this week at dlr LexIcon, in association with St. Michael’s Hospital Dún Laoghaire. Two health awareness mornings will cover a wide variety of health issues including diabetes management, pelvic floor health, stress management and haemochromatosis. Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Language Week) is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture that takes place each year in Ireland and in many other countries. 

Did you know in dlr Libraries we have conversational Irish meet ups in dlr LexIcon, each Tuesday morning in Brambles café at 11am and in Stillorgan each Wednesday evening at 5.30pm, Fáilte Roimh Chách!
We also have Irish language events for local schools during Seachtain na Gaeilge. We have 'Enjoying Irish with young children' sessions on March 8 in Dalkey Library, March 15 in Shankill library and March 22 in dlr LexIcon, read more here.
Dalkey Library and Dundrum libraries host monthly Irish book clubs, please enquire at the libraries.

To mark International Women’s Day, Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival has curated a daylong celebration of women who have worked tirelessly and passionately to change women’s lives for the better.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council invites applications for the role of Director of Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival 2018.
We are seeking a creative enthusiastic person with a strong arts/literary background and significant experience in programming events or festivals. Production experience is also a requirement. The Director will be responsible for creating an artistic vision for the festival and for leading the implementation of this vision.
