By a 7 to 2 vote Boulder City Council approved the construction of a new, and hopefully awesome, trail that will serve as a vital connector from Boulder to Heil Valley Ranch and the town of Lyons. The "North Sky Trail" will run along the western side of US 36, giving an amazing view and a chance for all users to be safely away from the highway. Everyone involved did a great job! Thank you to everyone who came to meetings, spoke to Council, and wrote letters/emails to Council and the Daily Camera.

Celebrate with BMA & Raise Funds for Trails
BMA has plenty to celebrate this spring with the approval of the loop system at Heil 2 & the North Sky Trail!
Celebrate with us at the BMA Spring Soiree—Ales 4 Trails! The Soiree will take place on Saturday June 18th at the Roadhouse Boulder Depot from 6-10PM. The event will feature delicious food from the Roadhouse menu (including the BMA burger), great beer from 8 local breweries, music & dancing provided by killer funk band Groove Nation, a raffle & silent auction. Click here for details and to purchase tickets! This event is open to both BMA members and the public.
BMA can earn up to $5000 if we provide key volunteers for this event. BMA needs 6-7 people to be Checkpoint Managers signed up by this Thursday 5:00PM. Signup here.
The Checkpoint Manager job is the most important role at UAR. You will be responsible for managing one of the 7 checkpoints on course with a small crew. You will report to the venue on event day at 7:30 AM and get some course materials (your obstacle will already be set up for you), and then head directly out on course to get your crew organized and obstacle up and running.
This event BENEFITS BMA… you can log your volunteer hours AND you help raise $$$ for BMA…it is fun and you get swag and beer…come on, have fun with a bunch of crazy racers on a Sunday… to volunteer click here.
