Help Bring Some Christmas Cheer
La Salle parents, we are still seeking donations to the Yulefest Wine Wall. To donate, please drop off bottles of wine in the Main Office. The retail value of each bottle of wine must be at least $20. Higher-value wines are welcomed as well! Thank you for your participation; it's a fun and easy way to give back.
We also invite our community members to buy a pull or two from the Yulefest Wine Wall, where they will receive a surprise bottle of wine wrapped in holiday paper worth at least $20; but often much more! (You do not need to be present to participate in this aspect of the event.)
NOTE: Students may not walk the bottles in—adults 21+ must bring them into the office.
Questions? Please contact Michelle Crimmins.

Volunteer for Yulefest!—A Fun Event No Matter How You Attend!
Our annual Yulefest celebration is right around the corner. It requires the effort of many in our community - staff, students, alumni, and parent volunteers. It takes a village to set up the gym, hallways and to clean up. We also need assistance on the evening of the event to staff the Wine Wall and sell raffle tickets, work Will Call and, yes, help pour wine for the wineries! We can’t do this without you!

Internship Opportunities
OHSU has an internship program for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior high school students interested in pursuing careers in medicine or biomedical research through a 16-week course starting February 1st through May 17th, 2023 from 6-8 PM. Students are introduced to the scientific process and gain access to research scientists from OHSU and other Portland research initiatives. Students will meet for two hours on Wednesdays for a lecture series and learn about ongoing research projects. A researcher will mentor each student. Each student gains first-hand knowledge of research methods, and, with their mentor's help, will present a published research article in a journal club format and develop their own research proposal.
You can find more information here. Applications for the 2023 program are open now and close on Friday, December 16th, 2022.
