Labor and Employment Ministers discuss labor market challenges in G-20 meeting
On May 18 and 19, the G-20 Labor and Employment Ministers met in the German town of Bad Neuenahr to share experiences and effective employment policies. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the United States and Mexico were present at the meeting.

Colombia appoints new Minister of Labor
On May 9, the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, appointed Ms. Griselda Restrepo as the new Minister of Labor. Restrepo is a lawyer and an specialist in Constitutional Law, has been a Senator and a representative to the Chamber and recently was Superintendent of Family Allowance.

New Prime Minister of The Bahamas appoints Minister of Labor
Prime Minister Hubert A. Minnis appointed Dion Alexander Foulkes as his new Labor Minister. Mr. Foulkes holds a degree in Political Science from Indiana University in the United States. Foulkes is a lawyer and has been Minister of Education, Minister of Labor and Maritime Affairs, among other high level positions.
