Our Manitoba Adventures

visiting, sharing, listening

We left Dallas July 21st at 2:30 pm, drove all night and arrived at my mother's apartment 24 hours later. We left Steinbach, Manitoba August 2nd at 10 pm, drove all night and arrived back home at 8:30 pm Sunday, August 3rd. Each leg of the journey was 1350 miles.

In between these two driving events, we spoke in a church service, a prayer meeting, and shared in a dinner party. We met with couples and individuals in their homes, their cottages, or at a restaurant. We had a wonderful time connecting with people, catching up on their lives and reporting what the Lord has been doing in and through us.

We praise the Lord that we didn't get sick, we didn't have any car trouble, or get hit by a deer or anything else. Any trip where those things don't happen, is a good trip. Thank you, Elaine for so graciously hosting us.

Having breakfast at the Village Green with Elaine.
Brunch in the back yard with family - waffles cooked the old-fashioned way on a fire.
Robert speaking at Shalom Church.
Hot dog roast with friends by the lake.
Elaine preparing for a dinner party for us in her home.
Visiting on the deck by the lake with long-term friends and supporters.
On Aug 31st, I (Verna) plan to travel to Nepal to facilitate a Rapid Words Collection workshop for one of the Nepali languages. Please pray for safety as I travel on Qatar Airlines through the Middle East on my own. Pray for Robert as he tends the home fires by himself until I return on September 19th.
