We commissioned Lucie Motion to draw up some whimsical invitations for our future events. Knowing the Pickett company style as she does, she played on these lines and I think her work is so special, a fresh break from the usual photographic image of myself that we normally use!

There is a cacophony of events going on in town this month, with more adventures from food, drink, travel and culture giving a wealth of new and exciting things to do this November.

Beauchamp Bazaar

The Ormiston Bazaar is now in its 5 year and it gets bigger and better each time with a new selection of stall holders and in a bigger venue it grows again.
The venue this year is at  St Colombus Church, Pont Street which is a perfect central London location with easy access parking and public transport and now with extended trading hours of 4pm-9pm.
The ‘Beauchamp Bazaar’ will be the perfect place for gifting ideas and a great place to make a start on the festive shopping. As it is just around the corner from our Sloane Street store, perhaps pop in and see us afterwards for anything else to add to the gist list.

So if you are thinking for some extra gifts here are some ideas for stocking fillers from us, all £50 or less.

Style for Soldiers
I have a long retail history with Emma Willis and huge shop envy when I walk into her store. I adore wearing her shirts which she very kindly gave me for my birthday this year as a thank you for the leather albums I gave to her charity.
When Emma received her MBE in 2015 I was extremely excited as it suddenly gave me faith in the honours system, as it did when Olivia, now Baroness Bloomfield was elevated last month, and a few years back, Baroness Jenkins. All have involvement in social justice, a world that interests me as shown by my work with Ormiston read more...
The advantage of this webbing belt it's that it has elasticity so does not just accommodate waist line fluctuations but it also allows for the current waist band fads of fashion.
The albums are perfect for momento's of events like Emma’s who uses hers for S for S charity

Whilst the McQueen exhibition last year was a block buster I think this year’s new exhibition entitled Revolution at the V&A will quickly become almost as big a block buster. – The heady time of putuli scented  Sixties, drugs, sex, rock and roll  - oh what an age to be!
Along with Quant, Biba, Kings Road, Carnaby St ,and a bit of Vidal,  the iconic's of the period are represented with Keeler Greer references - the earphones are a must as it plays different music per room so the vibe and beat gets you in the groove of the period.
This is not a fashion exhibition as such but a survey of that period of UK history that led the world.

I was introduced to Putney Arts Theatre by Penny Weatherall and I have seen her in The Birds, Equs, A Chorus of Disapproval amongst other very successful shows. Penny is now rehearsing the upcoming production of "Handbagged" where she will be playing Margaret Thatcher so there was a handbag requirement. Nowadays the style of bags worn my Mrs T aren't available but when I started in the business we had a great artisan leather craftsman called Freddie Launer who made the most exquisite bags and some of which my mother had so a quick call and I had located his 2099 model which we are now loaning to the production. I feel sure there will be a synergy between the bag and production and, like Mrs T, the bags of Freddie Launer have a longevity and Mums bag adds the authentic touch to the show which runs from 18th - 22nd Oct, Box Office 0208 788 6943

We have the Jackie O boxy bag for lunch / evening or the smart day bag with a clasp to lift the look.
