 FORTY HALL FARMERS MARKET THIS SUNDAY!

We're looking forward to serving our bakery and treats at the new monthly Forty Hall Farmers Market this Sunday from 10am to 3pm at Forty Hall Farm.   Enfield is lucky to have a community food event in such a lovely location, so do come and support all the fantastic local producers from in and around the borough, while enjoying some time outdoors on the Farm.
Last month our new assistant Charlie (above) worked his socks off serving such a big crowd!   We apologise to those of you who came later in the day and missed out on your Sunday bakery - we'll be making more for this weekend, so we hope to see you there!  

Here are some of the bakery and produce we'll be taking along this weekend...
SAUSAGE ROLLS FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH


The sausage rolls flew off our stall with visitors seeking a satisfying brunch so we'll bring more of those!  The rolls are packed with free range pork and encased in a light, buttery pastry.

For vegetarians, we'll also have our hugely popular falafel rolls 
MULTI SEED BAGUETTE


Our Sunday special in the bakery is the multi seed baguette, which we're proud to say was a winner at the 2017 World Bread Awards. For a tasty bite to eat, slice  (or tear!) your baguette and add a hunk of Wildes Cheese  who will be among our market neighbours this Sunday. 
THE BATARD


The shorter, fatter companion to the baguette, the batard loaf is made with a baguette dough which results in a lovely light airy bread with a crisp crust that's great for sandwiches.

As with all our French loaves we use Campaillette Grand Siècle, a high quality flour with no additives. Here's a photo of Richard in the wheat field not far from Paris, that is milled to make the flour. 
SPANISH PICNIC SELECTION 


As the forecast is looking good (fingers crossed!) we thought we'd bring along some of our Spanish deli specialties for a picnic; including gazpacho, chorizo, manchego, Ortiz tuna plus gourmet crisps and snacks. Partner with marinated olives from fellow trader Yellow Sunshine for a lovely al-fresco lunch!    Bring a blanket and some picnic utensils to relax in the Farm's picnic area. 
FORTY HALL FARM VEG

There will be lots of fresh seasonal organic produce straight from Forty Hall Farm this weekend for you to take home.  Last month they were replenishing stock straight from the Market Garden!

You can't beat the taste of seasonal veg that has been freshly picked so we often stock the farm's delicious salad bags at the weekend and use their other veg in our soups and sandwiches and of course the Forty Hall Farm pizza on a Thursday ...


 
PIZZA

Last month's pesto of garlic chive, lovage with Winchester cheese was one of our most popular Farm pizzas yet. Once the herbs are out of season we can't repeat, but with guidance from the growers in the Market Garden we'll be creating pestos from other herbs and greenery from the Farm over the summer. This month, back by popular demand we are also bringing back the 'Green'  pizza, topped with slithers of roasted courgette, chilli and mozzarella.
