President's Message
The BC Chapter has a great team working hard to serve our members. We have been busy hosting P2 Drinks in Vancouver in March and on Vancouver Island in April. These informal gatherings are scheduled alongside P2 training and are a lot of fun. The next one is on June 2nd in Vancouver. The IAP2 BC website is the place to check to keep up to date on all events, training, and news such as the recent launch of the new BC Chapter Strategic Plan 2017 – 2020.
Summer is a quiet time for IAP2 events. However, I hope you will take a moment to nominate a colleague for the Donald Golob Award. The nomination process is on the website. The grant provided can be used for training or to attend the IAP2 National Conference.
In the fall IAP2 BC will be hosting more Deep Dive “case study” events, informal P2 Drinks networking, then rounding out the year with the AGM in November. We welcome members to be a host in their community for a Deep Dive or P2 Drinks event. Please reach out to the Executive if you would like to host one of these events in your community.
We also want to hear from you. Please share a few minutes to complete a member survey. It asks what areas of interest do you want the Chapter to focus on. We also want to know about what worked and what did not in IAP2 BC events that you attended. This survey will help us to continually improve Chapter events.
IAP2 BC is also pleased to launch a new job posting service on its website. This inexpensive service is a great method to reach P2 practitioners and future employees.
There is definitely something for everyone on the www.iap2bc.ca website so check it out!
Best regards,
Catherine Rockandel
