The Conversation festival LAMPA, a part of the Nordic-Baltic democracy festivals, will start on June 28-29 at the Castle Park in Cēsis, with more than 350 events covering myriad of topics – politics, economics, technologies, education, security, health, environment, etc., in different formats, in Latvian, English and Russian language. New Rothko originals to arrive in Daugavpils

On 12 July, Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will open a new exhibition of original works by artist Mark Rothko. The new selection of originals comes from the private collections of his heirs - son Christopher Rothko, and daughter Kate Rothko Prizel. The latter will also be present in the opening ceremony of the exhibition as well as the consequent public discussion. Rothko was born in Daugavpils in 1903. More
