Update from ETF

Response to COVID-19

We are pleased to report that ETF is still continuing to operate to the best of our ability as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.  ETF's office in Norton Park has been closed since the end of March when the lockdown was imposed in order to protect staff and service users.  At present we are unable to say when staff and service users will be able to return to Norton Park.  We will take advice from the Scottish Government and the Albion Trust on this matter.

Although ETF's office remains closed, ETF staff are currently working from home and can be contacted by clicking here or phone 0131 475 2509 and they will do their best to assist you.  ETF's Convenor Betty Stevenson commented, "I am proud of the role that our staff and volunteers continue to play during these uncertain times.  While it is frustrating not being able to attend meetings and have a more hands on role, the safety of our staff and volunteers is vitally important.  We will continue to keep everyone up to date on ETF's status and hope to see you at a future event once this crisis is over."

Celebrating Volunteers' Week

Monday 1st June-Sunday 7th June 2020

Volunteers' Week is here and there has never been a greater need to recognise the role that volunteers play, particularly during these difficult times.  This year Volunteer Edinburgh are asking people to send in their experiences and stories during the COVID-19 outbreak.  You can find out more information by clicking here

As part of Volunteers' Week, the Volunteer Awards Ceremony was scheduled to take place on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 in the City Chambers, Royal Mile.  However the Ceremony has been postponed.  At present there is no deadline for nomination for awards, so if you can think of anyone who is deserving, then why not nominate them?  You can find out more information and how to nominate a person or group by clicking here.  For more information contact Jason McCann, Volunteer Edinburgh by clicking here or phone 0131 561 8308
On behalf of everyone at ETF, we would like to say "keep safe and take care" during these difficult times.

Don't forget that Federation Matters, along with other Federation publications, can be downloaded from our website by clicking here.  We would appreciate any feedback you may have on our publications.    You can get in touch with your comments by clicking here
