Federation Meeting

City of Edinburgh Council Budget Consultation

Would you like to help shape ETF's response to the City of Edinburgh Council's (CEC's) Budget Consultation? This will be the topic at our forthcoming Federation Meeting taking place on Wednesday 20th November 2019, 2.00pm-4.00pm, Norton Park Conference Centre, 57 Albion Road.  The guest speaker will be Lisa Mallon, Enabling & Partnerships Operations Manager who will be giving a talk on CEC's Budget Consultation.  You will also have the opportunity to find out what work ETF has been involved in as we discuss our quarterly Progress Report.

Have your say on how your rent money should be spent

CEC is currently carrying out a consultation on its budget for 2020/2021 which runs until 30th November 2019.  This is an ideal opportunity for tenants to help shape the future of housing in Edinburgh and ETF would like to encourage as many tenants as possible to have their say.  This can be done in a number of ways:

ETF High Flats Meeting

Fire Safety at Christmas

Christmas at home is a great time for everyone, but it can also be dangerous too.  John Black, Crew Commander, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be the guest speaker at the next ETF High Flats Meeting which will take place on Monday 2nd December 2019, 2.00pm-4.00pm, Birnies Court Community Room, Muirhouse View.  The topic will be fire safety, in the run up to Christmas, in Multi-Storey Blocks.  There will also be an opportunity to give an update on what is happening in your area.

CEC Draft Tenant Participation Strategy 2020-2023
Would you like to contribute to CEC's draft Tenant Participation Strategy?  The final stage in CEC's consultation process is currently taking place and tenants can have their say in a number of ways: Through the draft Tenant Participation Strategy, CEC wants to ensure that tenants really:
  • Know the different ways they can become involved;
  • Can take part and help influence decisions if they want to;
  • Have the support and resources they need to take part;
  • Can help to develop quality services.
The closing date for responses is Friday 10th January 2020. 
ETF Repairs Group Meeting
The next ETF Repairs Group Meeting will take place on Wednesday 27th November 2019, 2.00pm-4.00pm, Norton Park Conference Centre, 57 Albion Road.  The guest speaker and topic will be confirmed in due course.  There will also be an opportunity to give an update on what is happening in your area.
