Here are some snippets of news from several of our groups. Don't forget there are a lot more details about all our groups on the website.
Whilst some groups are at full capacity in terms of numbers, there is always the option of setting up a new group if you have a particular interest you would like to share. One such group is CHESS, suggested by David Evans.
There will be a meeting at The Platform meeting room on Wednesday 19th February at 2 pm to discuss this possible new group. David is more than happy to teach beginners, and would also welcome experienced players who want to enjoy a friendly environment. If you are interested please do join David and others.
For some time the Family History group has been full but there are a couple of spaces now so if you are interested do get in touch with Brenda Mead.
The next planning meeting of the Art Appreciation Group has their next planning meeting on Monday 9th March at 2.30pm in the Royal Oak.
The Garden Visit Group are also at the Royal Oak - on Friday 21st February at 11am to finalise their 2020 programme of visits.
New Interest Groups
We have several groups which are full and operate a waiting list. Many U3A’s around the country have multiple groups for various topics so there is nothing to stop anybody setting up a second Wine Appreciation Group for example.
Or alternatively, if you have an idea for a new Interest Group, we can help you get things off the ground so get in touch with any of the committee and we can help you out.
