Our marquee looked ‘fabulous’ on the weekend of the sixth Walthamstow Garden Party, as all the hard work of the designers (and all our helpers leading up to the event and on the day) led to a seamless event. Designers report that there was a great mix of visitors, including locals who return to see us every year, and there was a steady stream of people all day from the off. Our colourful banners on the marquee, in the garden and on the front railings, brightened up the outside of the marquee, with the inside filled with a great selection of talented makers. ‘brilliant’ ‘great day’ ‘we gave out an entire box of business cards even if only a fraction of those turn into something it was very much worth while!’
We were especially pleased to have the green arch from Borrowed Light Floral Studio, which they designed to 'prompt those queuing to come and investigate’ – and they surely did, in their thousands!
