8th Summit of the Americas ends with approval of the Lima Commitment
Emphasizing that the prevention and fight against corruption are fundamental for the strengthening of democracy and the rule of law in the region, and as a result of the VIII Summit of the Americas held in Lima, Peru from April 12 to 14, Heads of Government and representatives of the hemisphere adopted the Lima Commitment "Democratic Governance against Corruption."

On April 12, a dialogue between Social Actors and High-Level Government Representatives of the region was held in the framework of the Summit of the Americas.
