Today in Cancun begins the 47th General Assembly of the OAS
Under the main theme of the Assembly: 
"Strengthening Dialogue and Concertation for Prosperity," Foreign Ministers of OAS Member States will begin today, June 19, their participation in the 47th OAS General Assembly. This version will have 4 thematic panels on Integral Development, Women's Leadership, Human Rights and Democracy, and Multidimensional Security.

End of the ILO International Labor Conference sessions
Between June 5 and 16, delegates from governments, employers and workers of ILO members countries met in Geneva to discuss labor challenges in the world today. Topics discussed included Labor Migration and, Employment and Decent work for Peace and Resilience.

The OAS reaffirms its commitment to children on World Day against Child Labor
On June 12, countries in the region spoke out against child labor. The Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, expressed his discomfort that there are still some 12.5 million children working in Latin America and the Caribbean.
