The Adventure Continues

The past few months have been a time of training and focusing on things around the house.  Jose attended conferences and board meetings in Florida, Texas, California, and Indiana.

Sandy had a surprise birthday party.  She had asked for a small get-together and only requested an ice-cream cake.  Jose doesn't know how to follow directions.  Our sons from California and Alaska came, as well as her brother and sister-in-law from Indianapolis, a cousin from out of town, plus dozens of friends from the local area.

Sandy's sister made her move from Michigan, and now lives with us in Texas.  We praise the Lord for making it all possible.  It helps her, and it helps us as we travel quite a bit, and don't like to leave the house unoccupied.

One of the reasons for these updates is to raise missions awareness among members of the Christian community.  There are great things happening, and there are always opportunities to get involved.  Perhaps you've heard of the Praying Army - Those who focus on praying for missionaries; The Paying Army - Those who give financially to support missionary work; and The Going Army - Those who go to various mission fields, some for short term, and some for long term.  We want you to be aware of some opportunities that we have come across in our ministry with Go Ye Fellowship:

Philippines:  If you are looking for a mission opportunity in the Philippines next year, they are willing to accommodate your small group who can do carpentry, welding, painting or plumbing. Your group could do renovations in their school or teach people to do basic welding, painting or plumbing.

Thailand: Would like to have additional team members.  They have a wide reaching ministry which involves churches, construction, schools and teaching.  English and Cosmetology are some of the classes they are using or plan to use.

Germany:  Opportunity to work with refugees, many from the middle east.  You are probably aware of the great surge of refugees who have arrived in Europe recently.  They need the gospel, too.

Indonesia:  Need for someone to come alongside established missionary works to work with a new generation in church planting and outreach.

China:  English speakers to teach English in universities to tomorrow's generation of Chinese leaders.  This also allows for gospel outreach and discipleship.

South Korea: English speakers to teach English, as well as other subjects.

These are some of the opportunities.  If you are interested - or know someone who would like to be involved in these ministries - we would be happy to help them get involved.  You can contact Jose at for more information.
