When you think of Dan Hill, you inevitably think of his global hit record, “Sometimes When We Touch”, not only a hit for him but for a whole slew of other star performers including Rod Stewart. Barry Manilow, Demi Roussos, Tammy Wynette (with Mark Gray), Tina Turner and Engelbert Humperdinck, initially released in 1977 on his third album for GRT/20 Century Records, titled `Longer Fuse”

But when Hill was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters’ Hall Of Fame Wednesday, February 10th on CTV’s Your Morning program, he could also cite credits that also include being an accomplished author, journalist and social activist spokesperson (Artists Against Racism) to complement his recording and songwriting talents...READ MORE

Canadian collective, The Strumbellas, return with their anthemic new track, Greatest Enemy, out now on Entertainment One. The single is the first release since their fourth studio album, Rattlesnake, in 2019. Amidst a slew of tour dates and festival performances all over the globe, lead singer Simon Ward realized that the depression he had been dealing with for the past 15 years was no longer something he could deal with on his own. Ward was hospitalized and placed under doctor supervision.

Jess Moskaluke Gets Intimate

On her brand new album “The Demos” Jess Moskaluke bears all, figuratively speaking, as she includes stripped-down versions of three of the tracks to pull back the curtain on the songwriting process. The record also contains the full studio renditions of those songs, plus a handful of new recordings that have all of the bells and whistles. Jess worked virtually with her long-time producer Corey Crowder to create the album which features her number one hit “Country Girls”, “Halfway Home” and current Top 20 single “Mapdot”. “Mapdot” is a song about her hometown of Rocanville, Saskatchewan, although it’s really a tale of two towns, and that’s where she’s calling from to chat about her new release on this bitterly cold February afternoon...READ MORE
