Sermon Text: 1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
The Friendship and Joy Sunday School classes will meet at 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

A Message From Lynn Hodges
HELLO…MY NAME IS ___________________________
Remember those sticky nametags you got at meetings, parties, training sessions, conferences and other events. They never stayed put and heaven forbid you try to wear them two days in a row!
Luckily for us at St. Paul’s Waccamaw most of us have well designed, cross stitched name tags emblazoned with the Methodist symbol of cross and flame. They are not sticky. They can be worn again and again and few, if any, have worn out. Problem solved….right? Well, not exactly.
I forget to wear mine sometimes. I don’t think it’s just me either. Lot’s of us forget to wear them. That’s generally OK as most of us tend to know each other, but in the next several weeks please wear your nametag for the benefit of Pastor JR. He needs to learn our names and the nametags are very, very helpful. So WEAR THOSE NAMETAGS.
By the way, we need volunteers to cross stitch these name tags for new members and to replace lost ones. Contact Alice in the Office to volunteer.
We appreciate your cooperation.
