It's Go Wild week!


Its Go Wild week, where Beat the Street will help you discover some of the amazing parks, woodlands and green spaces right on your doorstep in Trowbridge.  There will be opportunities to score double points in parks and green spaces, when you visit Beat Boxes 1, 2, 5, 14, 19 & 24,  so study the map to see where these are!

Have you really explored Trowbridge Park? As this is Go Wild week we had to share our Trowbridge Ted Off the Beaten Track Trail. You can even take the footpath from the park right into Biss Meadows Country Park, its Trowbridge’s best kept secret! How many different wild animals can you identify as you travel round the park and the wider Beat the Street Map?


Woodland Walks
With autumn in full flow why not take the time to visit Green Lane Woods. This wood is a Wiltshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve, so plenty of opportunities to identify the creatures from the Off the Beaten Track Trail. It is an ancient woodland predominately made up of oak trees with coppicing. There is also a wild flower meadow. Its particularly good as a bird and butterfly habitat. Find out more about Green Lane Wood and other woodland walks in and around Trowbridge.
 

Trowbridge Environmental Community
Did you know that there was a Trowbridge Environmental Community? They are a group dedicated to the natural environment and engagement within the local community. Regularly holding events that in and around Trowbridge that include litter picks, wildlife talks, walks, and practical conservation events.  You can find out more about them on Facebook just search for Trowbridge Eco or you can get in touch with them at trowbridgeeco@gmail.com
