Welcome to Main's quarterly newsletter. With this newsletter we keep you informed on the most relevant developments of Main Capital and our portfolio companies. The central topic of the newsletter this time is: Looking back at 2020 & looking ahead to the plans for this year. For all of us, 2020 was quite an uncertain year but Main and our portfolio firms performed very well nevertheless. New platform investments

In the last Quarter, Main expanded its portfolio and started partnering strategically with PERBILITY, Pointsharp and Relyon.


Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in the fast growing Field Service Management (FSM) specialist Relyon, based in Nootdorp. The company provides leading and innovative cloud-based software solutions that support customers in optimizing the service and administrative process for mobile field services.


Main has acquired a strategic stake in PERBILITY, a leading provider of a cloud-based Human Resources platform. Through its rich set of functionalities, PERBILITY’s software offers clients a user-friendly and fully-integrated suite to effectively manage their employee base across the entire employee lifecycle ranging from recruiting to organizational planning.


Main has acquired a strategic stake in Pointsharp. Pointsharp, founded in 2006, enables organizations to secure IT environments with a high-level of control for IT departments combined with an intuitive mobile user experience. Pointsharp has a broad solution offering in the Identity and Access Management market related to multifactor authentication, security gateway, user provisioning and password management.

The future is bright: how we performed in 2020 and Main’s 2021 plans

2020 was a successful year for Main: we partnered strategically with 7 new platform portfolio companies, and successfully expanded our portfolio with 16 add-on acquisitions. By doing so, we are building strong and high-performing software groups. The performance of our portfolio shows the resilience of the software industry, even in times of the pandemic. In 2021 we also will continue our strategies and drive the sustainable growth of our portfolio. We will launch our next flagship fund Main Capital VII as well as Main Foundation I, a fund focusing on smaller high-growth SaaS companies.

The theme of the Main Insight Event DACH 2021 is Marketing for software companies: How to generate more high quality leads? This event will take place online or, if possible, in Düsseldorf.
