Dear APA Member,
On the 14th January, the Government announced that a number of businesses must close. The list included “photography studios”.
With a significant number of APA members now providing stills photography, there was concern at the inclusion of photography studios on the list.
We advised them that it was clear from the context that this meant photography studios used by the public and not those used by businesses.
For additional clarity, we asked the Government to confirm that our understanding was correct.
They have now confirmed that with this statement:
“Photography studios can open for commercial purposes (where both seller and buyer are there for work), but not for serving the general public.”
