A NEW GRANT FROM THE GORDON AND BETTY MOORE FOUNDATION is aimed at increasing the number of underrepresented students majoring in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields at Reed. The Moore Foundation provided a three-year grant totaling $344,588.
The grant funding will further strengthen Reed’s commitment to students from historically marginalized groups by expanding research opportunities and emphasizing a sense of inclusion. As an example, the Moore grant will expand the successful summer research projects from approximately 125 to 155 students.
