#MondayMotivation 4.6.20


Many of us are in our 4th week of social distancing. We are working at home. Life has been turned upside-down. There is not a clear end in sight. Hospitals in our area are just beginning the scary wave of unimaginable loss and decisions being made about life and death. Many amazing people are working in hospitals, delivering food, cleaning and sanitizing and working to keep many of us safe. For those of us who are home, we may be feeling ranges of emotions and that's normal. You may feel scared, unproductive and miss what you used to take for granted. Let yourself feel. Also understand that you can feel all of the pain and loss and still find joy, still recognize the good, still find some positive and silver lining. We can do hard things. We can stay home. We can also know that no matter how we are feeling, this isn't forever, we can do this.

Workshops & Events!
COVID-19 has altered our world. For the time being we are living in uncertain times and now more than ever, it is important to take care of our mental health. I am offering a video workshop focused on emotional wellness tips to help participants stay positive, connected and productive called "Maintaining Emotional Health During COVID19." In this class I discuss therapeutic tools from mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, neuroscience, and positive psychology. The picture below outlines topics discussed. All courses are done via video platform until the pandemic risk has subsided.  


What is Maximize Wellness Counseling & Coaching?

As a licensed clinical therapist I help people with symptoms of stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, and/or going through challenging life transitions or medical issues to gain balance, confidence, mental and emotional stability, and thrive. I use an integrative, process-based, collaborative approach to psychotherapy incorporating tools from multiple evidenced-based models.  Sessions are held at 10 Fairmount Avenue, Chatham, NJ. Teletherapy is available for anyone in NJ. Therapy sessions are considered "out of network" with your insurance provider, however I will provide all the necessary information for you to submit to your managed care provider for reimbursement.
