CCWD, Lane Workforce Partnership and ECCO High School Presented at the COSA 2014 Oregon Summer Assessment Conference in Eugene on August 8th, 2014.

The presentation addressed the state board approved WorkKeys assessments for meeting the essential skills requirements in reading and math. It also communicated the overall value of the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) for students whom will be graduating, entering the labor force, and attending college. The Early College and Career Option (ECCO) 4J High School presented information on the adoption, implementation and evaluation of using the WorkKeys and the NCRC. The presentation was prepared and delivered by ECCO students; Learning Specialist, Jennifer King; Business Services Coordinator at Lane Workforce Partnership, Robin Onaclea Scott; and Workforce Initiative Manager,Todd Nell.

The Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD) has contracted Wahoo Films to provide video production services for the CWRC and NCRC statewide efforts. Video productions will feature Oregon WorkSource offices, employers, job applicants, high schools, community colleges, and chamber of commerce among many others statewide.

In addition, CCWD has contracted Turtledove Clemens Marketing Communications. The company is known for their strengths in creative thinking and idea engineering. Turtledove Clemens will drive the statewide marketing strategy and implementation.
