We hope this finds you and your family well at a time that has been so difficult for many. Thank you for your support of Conserve Southwest Utah (CSU). With your help, CSU has accomplished a great deal over the past year. As you may know, our principal focus has been the effort to stop the Lake Powell Pipeline (LPP) and the Northern Corridor Highway (NCH).
We end the year with the LPP “paused” in response to massive opposition. This pause creates the opportunity for CSU to make the point that “enough is enough.” After years of failure, the time has come to end the quest for the LPP.
The NCH is entering a phase where legal action and engagement with elected officials will be essential to stop this needless desecration of the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area. Working with skilled partners we are confident in our strong case against the NCH.
The experience of 2020 demonstrated that CSU is much stronger when we marshal outside expertise to supplement our volunteer board of directors and the many CSU members who joined the effort. This year a generous donor’s contributions and a grant from the Conservation Lands Foundation helped us bring in essential expertise when it was needed.
We need your support to accelerate our momentum to end the LPP and NCH and to meet new threats on the horizon.
We have a critical need in three areas:
Your donation will help CSU achieve a new level of accomplishment over the coming year. Please act today to make a donation to CSU by using our secure online portal.
- Funding the expertise to address the complex technical, legal, and political issues that must be mastered to stop the LPP and NCH.
- Transforming our website to better support community outreach and dialogue with elected officials.
- Implementing strong social media, community outreach and education campaigns.
The forces working against conservation and degrading our quality of life are relentless and powerful. Your donation will help us be equal to the challenge.
Stand With Us!
