Celebrating International Clinical Trials Day

Every year on 20 May the Health Research Authority celebrates International Clinical Trials Day and the efforts of researchers, research participants, regulators, sponsors and funders who help to make vital research happen. This year, the research landscape has changed significantly as we all respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinical trials – and other vital health and social care research – offer us a way of overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. So, there’s even more to celebrate.

To mark International Clinical Trials Day 2020 we wanted to give you a taste of our work, and the work of our Research Ethics Committee volunteers, at this time, as well as its impact on research participants.
