February/March 2019
For the adults! A winter reading challenge to help get through the rest of winter. From February 1 - March 2, the adults will have to complete four of the nine reading challenges to be entered into the chance of winning one of the gift baskets. Visit the library to discover the challenges and start your adventure.
Of course the kids are included in our winter reading! From Feb. 1 - March 2, kids preschool - 12th grade can participate in reading away the chilly days to enter drawings for a prize. Visit the library for more information and to sign up!.
Our Makerspace Station is now being transformed into an Activity Station!  We have had so many good ideas that we can't contain it to just one activity at a time.  Check out the blue table in the Juvenile section of the library to help us fill in a mandala picture during the month of February.  Look for other activities in this section that will change periodically.  For the month of February we will have a giant string art that you can help complete.  String is located at the circulation desk.

We had such a success with patrons finding the hidden pickle during the month of December that we decided to bring it back!  During the month of February, look for the hidden red cupid.  The first person to find the cupid during the day will receive a prize.   The cupid will be hidden every day.
We are still working on raising funds to build the new library. Stay tuned for updates!
A new program for the library (thanks to ITC funding!). Join us throughout 2019 after hours at the library to hear a variety of Michigan speakers on many different interesting topics. Look for more information in April as dates are confirmed with our selected speakers.

A private grant foundation who donated to the building fund informed the library we are to use their $25,000 donation to help the library with current projects. As a result, the library will be replacing all computers, printers, and updating all the technology setup by the end of 2019. This grant will also assist with funding the upcoming fiscal year book budget along with funds for summer reading and for some speaking events.  We appreciate the donor's support of the library!
ITC asked the library to find a way to use their donation to the building fund to assist with library programming. After reviewing options, it was agreed ITC will fund a two year lecture series to be held at the library. We thank ITC for providing funding for a new library program and look forward to the interesting speakers who will be at our library in 2019-2020.
