December/January 2019

We have a new look! As you can see, we have switched the style of our newsletter. It will also now be issued bi-monthly so look for it every other month.

The library will be
closed
Dec. 24 & 25
Dec. 31 & Jan. 1
We wish everyone a fun filled holiday!
Join local author C.T. Heinlein at the library on Thurs., Jan. 10 from 5-7 p.m. to hear about his new book.

Once again, the residents said no to a construction millage. As a result, the grant money (close to $700,000), has been returned to the foundations and organizations that had been willing to invest in our community.  The Foye bequest will remain in the library's investment account as this donation cannot be used in any manner for the operation of the library; it is restricted for use to build or maintain the current building. As the library continues to find options to fund the build of a new library, all donations currently given to the building fund will remain in the building fund as the plan is to build a new library at some point in the future.
