Unprecedented Solar Financial Returns
Wisconsin's Focus On Energy recently announced the availability of $8.7 Million in cash grants for commercial solar electric systems installed in 2017 or 2018.  These cash grants will be issued through a competitive bidding process. Grant applications are due March 24, 2017.

Preference will be given to projects constructed in 2017. If all funds are committed for 2017 projects, there may not be funds available in 2018. On average, we expect grant amounts to be approximately 20% of the total project cost, up to $400,000.

Grant funding greatly improves the project's financial metrics, as these monies are in addition to the current 30% Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and accelerated depreciation tax benefits.
The last time that these cash grants were made available in 2015, SunPeak was highly successful in receiving funds for our customers.  The full grant parameters are a bit complex. Therefore, SunPeak is once again offering free grant writing and submission services for committed customers.
