Happy first day of winter! May was a great month for YA events. While our USA friends went to BEA, we had TeenCon in Sydney and Reading Matters in Melbourne. 

More international YA authors are visiting our shores with tour dates for Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black and Cassandra Clare visiting the Brisbane Writers Festival in September.

Book Club Challenge

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas is still our current book club read until the end of June! Clearly this is a book that everyone should read (come on, it's Sarah J Maas). So get yourself a copy and then read and join in the discussion thread here!

Gathered from and surrounded by the wonderful worlds of comic books, animation/cartoons, science-fiction, pulp TV/movies, toys, console gaming, trading cards, fantasy, entertainment technology, books, internet sites and fan-clubs. It’s Comic-con, Australian style!

Information about Sarah J. Maas' Australian Tour has been released! Most appearances are ticketed events, so be sure to get in quick!

Cassandra Clare and Holly Black are coming to Australia in September!

So far, the only details are that they will appear together at Word Play (Brisbane Writers Fesitval). The Brisbane Writers Festival has released information of the Word Play apperances, which is only available to students. It is expected that they will attend the LOVE YA event as well, but this has not been confirmed as yet. Further information can be found at the Brisbane Writers Festival website.

We are also hoping that events in other states will take place, but so far there is no news of any. To be kept up to date on any news that does come out, be sure to follow our Goodreads discussion.

The Scorch Trials trailer is here! And it looks pretty freaking awesome. My god, Littlefinger is in the movie! Totally had no idea. Plus can you really pass up more footage of Dylan O'Brien? That boy is fine ;)
