Creative Visions is a premiere agency for individuals who use media and the arts to ignite positive social change
July 2015

This month marks an exciting time for our team.  Yesterday, Trevor, four mentors and twelve high school students embarked on a three week journey throughout the Pacific Northwest as part of CV Program Open Roads.  In a few weeks, production will begin in South Africa on Journey is the Destination - the feature film about Dan's life.  Stay tuned for on the ground updates from Kathy, who will be on location during the shoot!  While part of our executive team will be on the road, the office will be teeming with our awesome Summer Visionaries!

We hope to see you all at our next Sundowner!

- The CV Tribe
THE JOURNEY BEGINS
"The only reason we have continued to follow this dream is because we believe that the film - just as the book 'The Journey is the Destination' inspired tens of thousands of people - we believe this journey will inspire millions of people to ignite their passions and take action on a local and global level." - Kathy Eldon

The long-awaited journey is beginning.  Marty Katz, (Producer of Hotel Rwanda and four David Cronenberg films), Richard Arlook, Producer, South African producer, Kweku Mandela, together with Geralyn Dreyfous  Kathy Eldon and Trevor Hall have finalized the funding and production will begin in South Africa in August!

Journey is not just a movie, but a movement, designed to further the cause and spread of creative activism around the world.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

What a thrill to attend the LA premiere of CAP Film Imba Means Sing at the Ann and Jerry Moss Theater.  Pictured here is the stellar producer of the film, Erin Bernhardt and the film's composer, Ryan Potesta during their Q&A.

Actor/creative activist Richard Gant joined Len Dichter (Tomato), CV team members Trevor Hall, Pat Chandler, Megha Kadakia and Kathy Eldon at the Dan Eldon Center to talk about his work with the United Nations creating awareness of HIV-AIDS.

It was a full house at the Center for our June Sundowner.  Kathy is pictured here with the incredible duo from Wilkinson Mazzeo at our co-hosted Sundowner last month.  Huge thanks to Banta for supplying the tunes and Modern Times Beer for the brews!  Be sure to click on the image to see more photos from our June Sundowner.

We love family dinners at Creative Visions and last month we sat down with some of our CAP members to discuss story telling in a transmedia culture.
