Boo to YOU!

What's a Happening Now...

We love water activities, but not the kind the Lowcountry has been experiencing the past few weeks. Our facility is safe and programs have resumed, however water levels on the Ashley are still high.  Sending our prayers to those across the state who've been devastated by the flooding.

Over the past few weeks high school sailing teams have been busy traveling all over the Southeast as the season is in full swing.  We hosted the first SAISA Open Regatta and since teams have traveled to Georgia and Florida for a South Points event along with the SAISA Radial Qualifier Cressy.  Next up is SAISA North Points #2 on October 17 & 18.  Volunteers are needed to help with recording, scoring and on the water as a safety/mark boat drivers.  If you are interested in learning more about high school sailing and how these events are run, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

Be sure to mark your calendar for our 9th Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser to be held on November 22nd.  There are still unique sponsorship opportunities available and we welcome donations from local businesses for our silent auction.

Don't forget there are still a variety of ways to get on the water or get involved as we move into Fall.  You are a part of our community, so contact us if you have an idea - we would LOVE to hear from you.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission!

9th Annual Oyster Roast

Countdown has begun for our annual fundraiser which will take place the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Support our mission by becoming a sponsor, donating items for the silent auction or by volunteering to help. A variety of sponsorship levels are available and this is a unique opportunity to showcase your business while helping to raise funds to support scholarships and STEM education. Here's a sneak peak of this years event flyer from our talented friends at CRE843!  Learn more.

What's SUP!

Our first season of adding SUP {Stand Up Paddleboard} to programming was a success. Participants enjoyed getting on the water through the Fun, Fit & Yoga classes and the classes were a wonderful way to start or end your day.  If you were unable to do a series but want to paddle, sign up for a SUP private lesson. Classes will be on hiatus through the winter and we will regroup in Spring 2016.  Stay tuned for offerings!

WoW {Women on the Water}

Fall evening classes are coming to an end as we approach daylight savings - BOO!  We will be switching to a new format as we move into cooler months, most likely weekends as the weather allows.  Join us for a fun sail, feel confident on a sailboat and meet some wonderful women.  More information is online and be sure to check out the photos from the past few months.

Special Olympics Team

Local sailors will continue to sail throughout the Fall at our facility and the College of Charleston.  If you are interested in becoming a unified partner, volunteering to help on the water for practices (10/24 & 11/14) or know of any athlete that would be interested in joining the team - we would love to hear from YOU! This is a unique opportunity to share your passion with others get involved today.
