In the first trimester at the Ridge Family Center for Learning, all students in grades one through five generated different topics they wanted to learn more about during their enrichment period. This student interest-based enrichment period is held four days a week for 30 minutes. Student groups created questions to drive their learning about topics such as murals, weaving, engineering, earth science, math, video production, drama, and more.
At Monday’s board meeting, students representing the flight, Lego stop motion animation, and earth science groups presented what they learned during their enrichment experience so far this year. The Board enjoyed a video and slideshow that showcased the school’s work.
