This year RUAF is celebrating 20 years in urban agriculture and urban food systems. Since May 2019 RUAF is hosted by Hivos. Time to update the website! Visit the new RUAF website, where resources that will help you advance the urban food movement in cities worldwide are available for free and can be easily filtered by type, focus area and region. Read on for some highlights.

FAO-RUAF training event: Integrating food systems into local planning

Join the upcoming World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi from 8-13 February 2020 where the RUAF Global Partnership, with FAO, will facilitate a training to introduce food system planning in urban and city region contexts, including the mobilisation of multiple actors and the use of innovative analysis tools.

What's on in Ghent?

Each month we'll be profiling the work of different cities in the RUAF partnership. This month, the focus is on Ghent, where they're setting a leading example in food policy through a participative approach. The City of Ghent took the stage at COP25 as one of the winners of the UN Global Climate Action award.
