Pastor's Note

Dear People of God,

It’s one of those dates that catches your breath—September 11. Remember where you were when you heard the news? Remember how you felt, especially in those early hours? The not knowing, the wondering over what might come next, the struggle to comprehend the massive loss of life?

We’ve lived with these same thoughts—for different reasons—for six months. How are you bearing up? What gives you strength or reassurance? Where is your hope?

And now, O Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. Psalm 39:7

It’s that simple, and it’s that hard. I’m praying today for those in recovery from addiction, those who have relapsed into addiction, those struggling with depression (especially those for whom the weather change invites seasonal depression), those mourning the loss of loved ones, the overwhelmed, and the lonely. If that’s you, I’m thinking of you today and holding you in prayer. Feel the presence of God and the support of this family of faith.

Now, here’s what’s up in terms of congregational life: (Aaron please add links)

Pastor Lisa
